HWPRI (Himpunan Wanita Pekerja Rumahan Indonesia) or Indonesian Women Home Based Workers Association is a social organization, that:

OBJECTIVES

1.To provide social protection to women home-workers

2.To unionize women home-workers in Indonesia

3.To promote and maintain the dignity of Indonesian women home-workers as respectable human being

4.To promote invisibility and recognition as workers in the public sphere including the Government

5.To build the capacities of women home-workers in solving the problems encountered

MEMBERS

1.HWPRI Members are women home-workers, employers of the home-working industries who have common objective to pursue with women home-workers

2.Membership in the HWPRI comprised of :

-members

-Candidate of members

Member are those who have been officially accepted by the organizing committee to be members.

Candidate for members are those who have been registered to the group of women home-workers but they have not meet the membership conditions.

CONDITON OF MEMBERSHIP

1.Agree to the rules which have been adopted by the group of women home-workers

2.Agree to actively participating in all activities

3.Aware on the importance of organizing women home-workers in a union

THE RIGHTS OF THE MEMBERS

1.Every member has freedom of stating ideas in the organization

2.Every member has the rights to the collective result of the organizing activity

3.Every member has the rights to become an organizer

4.Every member has the right to elect organizing committee

5.Every member has the right to obtain membership card

6.Members have the right to participate in the activities

7.Members have the right to propose ad-hoc members meeting under a particular pressing circumstances

OBLIGATION

1.Each member is obliged to share knowledge, experience and skill to other members

2.Each member obliged to commit to the rules of the organization

3.Each member obliged to warn any organizing committee undertaking of any wrong doing

4.Each member obliged to bring in new member

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

1.The General Assembly

The General Assembly is the governing body or the supreme authority of all HWPRI members

2.The Organizing Committee

The executive committee consist of representatives from the regions. In every region there should be a regional organizing committee. They shall be elected by members. The term of office should be 3 years per term with a maximum of 2 terms.

3.The Secretariat

The Secretariat's main function is to implement programs and activities agreed on by members and provide services to members and non-members

THE RIGHTS OF THE COMMITTEE

1.The rights to represent organization in meetings

2.The rights to call for a meeting when deemed necessary

3.The rights to take decisions in a participatory manner

THE OBLIGATIONS OF THE COMMITTEE

1.They are obliged to distribute information to all members

2.They are obliged to maintain sustainability of the HWPRI

3.They are obliged to report activities and problem encountered to the advisory board of HWPRI
