A visual artist and teacher. working in photography, related mixed media, design, and clay. Gallery director.

Living in the mountains of the northeast, U.S.A.

I use my photography as an exploratory tool, to discover, not simply record. The most intriguing photographs for me are ones that ask more questions than they answer. In this way, the viewer becomes more engaged and less passive an observer. The viewer is thus invested in the work as he/she attempts to finish it off for him/herself. I enjoy the mystery. Reflective time. A dark room with an open window.
