Born in Northern Ireland in 1961 and moved to Guernsey in 2008. I bought my first camera ( a Rollei B35 ) when I was 10 and my first SLR when I was 17 (an Olympus OM1n).

I went digital with an Olympus E400 in 2006 and moved to Micro 4/3rds using a Pen-F with a choice of the f1.8 primes or an OMDS OM1 with the trinity f2.8 Pro lenses.

In 2023 I bought my first Leica, a Q2M closely followed by a Leica SL2. In 2026 I sold all my Olympus equipment (3 bodies and 11 lenses) and used the proceeds to buy a Leica SL3 body.

This brought an end to a 48 year marriage with Olympus though I have kept the OM1n and nifty fifty film camera (I'm a sentimental old fool) though I can't imagine ever going back to film.
