Long time pop culture historian and heritage photographer. My pages here at Flickr are primarily intended to be a digital scrap book. The photos contained herein come from a range of different sources including old magazines, prints, slides, negatives, other websites and my own current and earlier photographic work. With this being the case, the quality varies considerably.

Although it can be lots of fun to experiment with editing packages, I generally prefer to see things as they appear to the naked eye in real life.

These days, I use a very basic point and shoot camera. In earlier times, I enjoyed shooting slldes with my faithful and much loved Minolta SR - 1 loaded with Kodak Ektachrome.

When I post non original photos I make every effort to establish and acknowledge the relevant source, usually providing a link if possible. I'm more than happy for my own original pics to be downloaded and/or shared on other websites for educational purposes and /or the enjoyment of private individuals. However, I would appreciate the source being acknowledged. Won't be quite so thrilled if I see them being used for commercial activities without my permission. One recently showed up in a real estate promotional video ... uh.. uh .. no thank you . Also, if you attempt to follow my photo stream without favoring any pics or if you do favor something and it doesn't show up in your collection of 'Faves" you will be blocked, immediately.
