I love the outdoors and photography. I used a manual SLR for years and got a Canon SD550 in 2006. I wanted a camera that I could carry everywhere and get those shots that made me say, "Where's my camera when I need it?"

Since then I bought a Canon G10..still a small range finder but more capable than the Elph. I now use both...Can a digital SLR be far behind??

You will notice more macro shots than others since that is the strong suit of this camera I set up at flicker account at the urging of my daughter "foom23" and have been having fun with it. I am enjoying viewing other users work as well as posting mine.

I now shoot with a Canon G16 and I'm loving the capabilities of this small, easy to carry camera!

I love visiting your streams and reading your comments. If you invite me to post in a group and I don't, it's not because I don't appreciate the invite but because I don't think I can live up to the group rules due to time constraints.

Due to the recent problems on Flickr with stolen photos, please note that if you "favorite" my photos and do not have photos or profile I can view, I will block you from my stream.

I respect the rights of all the photographers on Flickr and expect the same respect for my photos. All are copyrighted and may not be used without my permission.

Since my mom got all corny and wrote a very nice testimonial for me, I thought I'd return the favor. Mom, you instilled in me a love of nature and inspired me to open my eyes and really look at the world I live in. Not many moms will lay on the sidewalk with her kid to watch ants, but you did, and it's stuff like this that has taught me to appreciate a lot of the finer details that most people simply overlook. I'm glad I convinced you to come on Flickr and share your views of the world with the rest of us.
