"Dyn dwad" (pronounced "deen dooad") means "newcomer" in Welsh, but I've lived in Wales for 45 years, and love the place and the language. But I've only lived in Mid Wales for 10 years, so I'm still a newcomer from North Wales. I also spend some time in Oregon, another place which I really love.

Bird photography has become a passion since I retired. I use a Canon 500mm lens most of the time, but am also experimenting with close-up photos taken with PhotoTrigger!, where the camera is triggered when a bird interrupts a light beam.
