Drag to set position!
It all started in 1969 when someone gave me a bag of leather scraps.
At first, I made small hand-sewn pouches with these scraps.
With the money I earned, I bought a hide of leather and designed
and created handbags.
I received custom orders and later on, taught myself
how to construct footwear such as sandals, shoes and boots. I made them for
my family and for others.
After thirty years, I retired from the shoe making business, but continues
to produce baby booties and leather accessories which I sell at Kaleid Gallery
in San Jose.
In 1993, I discovered polymer clay, which I use to create, beads, buttons
and artful jewelry. I find this medium to be versatile with endless possibilities.
Quite often, I incorporate other materials and techniques with the clay
to make my pieces unique.
My inspiration comes from seeing color, texture and patterns.
These three elements are in seen in nature and in the world all around us.
