My name is Luba, I'm fiber artist living in South Australia.

I am a full time student, studying Visual Art at the Adelaide College of the Arts.

I'm 26 now, but ever since I was little, I've loved to create things that are beautiful and unique. I remember surprising my parents with my first knitted headband when I was 7 years old.

I love spinning organic wools from heritage sheep breeds and exotic animals. My passion for spinning my own yarns began when my hubby David, bought me a spinning wheel. It’s a very rewarding art form, but it took a lot of patient practice to learn to spin well.

I just love the feel of fiber as it flows through my hands as I spin. Its almost like meditation. Its great to be able to take raw fleece and turn it into a beautiful yarn, I enjoy all the steps in the process. My husband says there's 'fluff' all over the house. I guess that's what you have to put up with when you are married to a fiber addict :o)

I am passionate about supporting the small farmers that help to keep the rare and endangered sheep breeds from extinction.

Thank you for stopping by!
