Just a 35 year-old (as of 2012) AFOL with what seems to be a pretty common story. I loved LEGO as a kid, especially at Christmas when Santa would bring some fantastic set that my paltry allowance had no hope of purchasing (e.g. Futuron Monorail). When I became a teenager, I became too cool for kids' toys and sold off most of my collection (still kicking myself). My dark age ended once I got a full-time job and could afford to start a new collection. Now I'm making up for lost time.
