I purchased a Canon PowerShot a dozen years ago because it features a wide-angle lens so I can document my work as an architect. It's also compact so I can carry it in my purse to take photos when I am travelling on boats, buses, planes and trains - which is why some of my photos are blurry! My default setting is automatic. For me photography is a way to capture a brief moment in time so I can translate some of them into watercolour paintings.
