Bought an Olympus E-500 in 2006, shot it in automatic( like everyone else does ) for three years until I decided to actually learn how to use it. As a result, got hooked on taking pictures, despite my limited artistic ability( but I'm trying hard to improve.)

I would best be described as an amateur enthusiast. I enjoy taking pictures of wildlife, landscapes with particular interest on sunrises and sunsets. Unlike many amateurs and even professionals, I don't use post-processing to correct and improve my photos to something I did not take. The power of most post-processing programs lends itself more to manipulation than photographing. Virtually all of the images I post are exactly how then came out of the camera. I enjoy the technical aspects of varying metering, AF target, using filters, EV compensation and WB before I take the shot rather than looking at the shot afterwards and altering those items later.

I own three Olympus cameras( E-500, E-5 and the OMD EM-10 ), but unfortunately, although Olympus has great cameras, I no longer want the 2.0 crop and will shortly be purchasing a full-frame.

Love Fishing, traveling, ballroom dancing, cats and nature, as well as taking pictures( which I wish I was better at ).
