This is an archive of architecture for early childhood, intended for the research of defining an early childhood architectural typology; and to:

* Promote and raise awareness of the significance the architectural environment has on early childhood experience.

* Instigate a discussion about which architectural environments are conducive for early learning and young childrens' well being.

* Bring designers and architects together with early childhood practitioners and philosophies to initiate an architecture for early childhood that best meets the needs of young children.

Why?

* Because children are our future.

* Young children are also exceedingly sensitive to their environments.

* Their architectural environments must therefore nurture, support and challenge them, so they they can reach their full potential and grow into compassionate and capable future citizens.
