Interested in almost all kinds of photography. Occasionally try to take some street photographs.
Flickr is a great place to find inspiration and encouragement. It's one of the best things about the online world. All feedback, favourites etc. gratefully received, and - almost always - reciprocated.
Mrs. Hubble shook her head, and contemplating me with a mournful presentiment that I should come to no good, asked, "Why is it that the young are never grateful?" This moral mystery seemed too much for the company until Mr. Hubble tersely solved it by saying, "Naterally wicious." Everybody then murmured "True!" and looked at me in a particularly unpleasant and personal manner.

Equipment I use (and have used):
Current: Nikon D700, 35mm F2 AF-D lens, 50mm f1.8 G lens (hardly ever used now). The D700 is probably my favourite camera of all time. Never thought any Nikon would replace the F3 in my affections.
New: Ricoh GR V. Replaced my unloved Fuji X100s with the Ricoh. Great compact to use, ergonomic. Not 100% sure about image quality yet.
Sold, hated the sensor: Fuji X100s. Tried the battery life on this blighter? Ridiculously overrated camera. Bought new for £999.99 from John Lewis a year ago. Managed to ebay it for £710. Three hundredd quid depreciation in a year, speaks for itself. Wildly overrated camera.
Recent. Gone but not forgotten: Nikon D300s & Nikkor 35mm f1.8 lens. Great little DSLR. Ergonomics even better than the D700. DX sensor great for wide DOF for street.
Old but Still Active: Panasonic Lumix LX3 The poor man's poor man's Leica. Can be hell to use but can still produce results. While away the hours as you wait for the gap between pushing the shutter button and taking the shot to end.
Old: Nikon F3, Nikkor 50mm and 28mm lenses. So many memories. You can buy one of these in great condition for around £150. A design classic. One of the great SLRs of all time. Went through three of them. Sold my remaining one recently, just never going to use film full time again.
Older: Nikon F90x, Nikkor 50mm and Nikkor 24mm lenses. Another great old Nikon SLR. Built like a tank. Shutter sounds like automatic rifle fire. Never lets you down, runs on AA batteries available everywhere. Can be had for buttons on eBay.
Nikon D70. Nine years of use and still going. Long in the tooth but still fighting fit.
Much Older: Canon IXUS 430. An expensive little compact at the time. Bought a 256MB memory card to go with it.
Mists of Time (circa 1994): Olympus OM10. Ah, that lost roll of 36 print film I took on our first day in New York, June 1994. Drunk in times square at around 3am, convinced my feel were bleeding, opted to open the film door without rewinding the film. Always wondered how those shots at the Empire State Building turned out. Will never know.
