I always loved taking pictures but I wasn't very good at it. Then all at once, I found a need to photograph old things, things that were falling apart and decaying. I wanted to capture things that had once been grand but were now nearing their end, Of course capturing a lovely sunset makes for a fine photograph. Now I feel an obsession to capture humans, long since dead, through their homes and belongings they have left behind that no one has any interest in, It happens more often than one might think. Some end up at the end of the line on their family tree and there is no one left to sift through the crap or not enough value to make it worth their time. So what you may end up with is a dark and creepy old house with 2 inches of dust and cobwebs, outdated clothes and appliances, music and instruments that fascinate some of us at 30,40 70 years later. Some call it Urbex or Rurex or archeology of abandonment. It is truly a documentation of quasi-modern local archeology. This has gained much popularity and many enjoy this type of photography no matter what type of device is being used.
