Doug Reed was an ex-Bristol Constabulary sergeant. He died in March 2014. I am his son-in-law, Richard Whittle ex-133C, Bristol Constabulary. I was a cadet in the force from 1958 and a PC until 1967, when I left to train as a mechanical engineer but eventually became an engineering geologist instead.

After Doug retired he collected photographs from his colleagues. I have put most of them on here (and added a few of my own).

I am happy for you to use any of these photographs for your own use. An acknowledgement would be nice though!

I am a published author. Check out "The Man Who Played Trains", "Playpits Park", and most recently (2019) "Ground Rules" - a 'whodunit' with a difference.
