Stimulating, aggressive, sweet, very intelligent and always original, this is the Jay that always makes me laugh. I call her "The Directora" but that is our private joke. Whenever I think she can't possibly astound me anymore, her incredible humor and erotically charged though never vulgar images always put at least a smile on my face. She wavers between outrageous, saintly, devilish, and sometimes quietly philosophical but never boring. Sometimes a deep sadness colors her remarks but she always bounces back. She has an incisive mind, a great sense of fashion and drama, and the elegant body language learned early on at ballet school. Her photographs express all my above remarks with a poetic directness and a vulnerability that touches the heart and gladdens the spirit for knowing her. Jay: you are one incredibly cool lady and I am happy to be your friend.
