Bombay Drag Sensation, Jaisalmer born and raised, International Performer, Queen Harish, is like a Classical Indian tapestry coming to life.

 

The Queen's dance exudes feminine sensuality and ignites imagination to a far away time and space.

     

I am from Jaisalmer, it is the first city on the desert road to Egypt.

 

The city is entirely made of a stone that reflects a golden pattern in the middle of Rajasthan, country of the kings and i am the dancing whirling Queen of the Desert of India.

 

I have been touring since the nineties all over USA, Canada, Europe, Russia, Japan, India, South East Asia and Australia and i was introduced to the Bellydance community by Tamalyn Dallal at Miami Orientalia in 2002 where i met Amar Gamal, Kaeshi and Jenna of the Bellyqueens

 

While traveling on tour, I look for the most feminine women to inspire my performing character and i look for discerning dancers from around the world to inspire my very own fusion form of dance that is first of all rooted deeply in the strong and living cultural traditions of my hometown in Jaisalmer.

 

I didn't have any dance training the first time i performed on a stage for tourists visiting my city back in 1995, i just really wanted to dance as i watched already so many dancers, then it was my turn and i improvised and the public called me to dance again, dance is my god gift.

 

Since 1997 I have been dancing worldwide as a guest dancer for international Rajasthani music groups Musafir till 1999 and for Maharaja from 2000 till 2002 and was featured in the award winning documentary "Gypsy Caravan".

 

I am a regular guest dancer of world music live acts such as Cheb i Sabbah, Rupa & The April Fishes, Fanfare Ciocarlia...

 

I danced on very prestigious stages such as Central Park Summer Stage, Hollywood Bowl, Barbican Center...

 

In 2009/10, i joined the line - up of INDIA, a spectacular show designed by Franco Dragone.

 

I welcome dancers at home in India for intensive private workshop and travel to teach in your city.
