Alright ladies, time to actually write a profile, and not cop out by posting a quote I found clever. So prepare your brain, for razzle dazzle!

As indicated by my profile, I'm a male, I'm 23 years old, and I live in the urban blight that is Toronto. But urban blight in a good way. What my photography has done for me is to allow me to express the way I see the world, and yes, blight is beatiful. Growing up in the cookie cutter suburbs outside toronto, one learns to really appreciate the magic of an environment that has been allowed to grow organically and develop into what it is (and I mean organically both metaphorically, and sometimes, in a disgusting turn of fate, literally) free from any real conscious thought in one direction, it just happened. The city is magical, things exist there often for reasons other than their initial envisioning. Instead of anybody going for a "theme" or a "look" it just kind of happened. And that's beatiful, and it's interesting, and it's what excites me.

On the people side of things, I've really started to get interested in people photography as of late, and particularly self portraiture, mostly because it serves as the simplest way to convey ideas, themes or thoughts that I might have cross my mind during the day. Truth be told I daydream alot, hell I daydream constantly. When I'm on the subway, I'm thinking of a boot pressing into a man's face. When I'm eating, I'm thinking about a scene involving a priest wrapped in duct tape. To be able to show others what goes on, I think is sometimes unsettling, but it's also quite liberating and it's something I'll be exploring more of. As I get a more reliable source of models/actors in my daydreams, and a decent lighting setup, expect to see even better people portraiture as well.

And so there it is, I've given you a profile. I truly do believe that all that is conveyed in the photos, at the least it's what I try and do. The important thing, is that you take something away from looking at them, and hopefully you enjoy what you see. If you take a different meaning from the photos than I intended, well that's just fantastic, because now you're thinking too :D

This man is brilliant when it comes to capturing "reality." He has perfected the art of communication through his photography. I can see in his eyes, or the eyes of his models exactly what it is he's trying to get across to the viewers. He's so creative and silly at times. I love that about elTwitcho's work.

The internalized gestation of El Twitcho's imagination (read profile) ultimately is revealed through a vividly creative ocular landscape of expressive and impressive proportions. There is an undeniable solidity, artistic fearlessness and highly intelligent use of wit in the manner which he composes and shapes his visions. As the Canadian Association of Neurocryptopsychotherapeutics has said " He may be twitchin', but his work is bitchin' ". Oh, and one more thing; his portrait work is freakin' great!
