I'm currently resident in Perth, Western Australia. (Back home in Country Victoria from Jan 2016).

I grew up In Auckland NZ and as an 11-year-old boy, joined the Railway Enthusiasts Society and travelled on as many excursions as my parents and my limited income could afford. I started taking colour slides in early 1965 after having saved for months to buy a 35mm Camera. Steam, and my interest, disappeared in the Upper North Is from about mid-1967.

These slides I submit are a record of those years......I will try and clean them up as best I can, but acknowledge they are pretty rough after the intervening 50 years of neglect.
