Roger Laib Fine Carpentry's current work focuses on environmental projects such as restoring porches, building sheds out of recycled doors, building straw-bale houses, water collection systems, sustainable home remodeling projects, and sculptures made with recycled materials.

On these he has collaborated with Grow Pittsburgh, Sustainable Design Builders, Conservation Consultants Inc., Construction Junction, Hurst Construction, Girls Scouts Council of America, and private business, and home owners.
