I first noticed Angie's Flickr stream through a mutual Flickr friend. At that stage Angie didn't have a lot of faith in her ability as a photographer, but it was apparent to everyone else that she had a lot of potential. I commented on a few of her photos and added her as a contact, and I'm so glad that I did. Right away she started commenting on all of my photos, adding praise and encouragement and often cracking me up with her humour. She took on every single bit of feedback that I or anyone else had for her, learning new things, experimenting and always trying to better herself. I've never seen anyone so hungry to be a better photographer; nor anyone who is as humble as she is. As the weeks have passed, I've seen Angie go from someone who had maybe a handful of truly great images to someone who constantly knocks out fantastic photos. Some of her work, such as her "African Small Spotted Eagle Owl" photo, has me coming back again and again for another look. Many of her flower shots would be perfect on a Hallmark card; this coming from a lady who once said, “I take awful flower shots!” On top of all that, she still remains one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. If you get a chance, add her as a contact. I can promise you’ll be glad you did!
