Photography continues to fascinate me on a theoretical level. I am interested in photography's ability to mediate between abstraction and (hyper-)realism; its tendency to beautify even the plainest things; the difficulty to evade the romanticist tendency that seems to come with photography; its oscillating between adopting highly dramatic and perfectly ordinary perspectives.

Also, I like to use photography as a means to document objects, and structures, in the history of art and culture.
