I am an avid birder and have been since I was 9 or 10 years old. My fascination began in Thailand, where I grew up, and where bird species are numerous, and their color and variety of life and habit endless. I now live in the Bay Area, where I am fortunate to still experience the same endless variety and beauty that nature, and birds especially, have to offer. I have recently taken up photography (as of June 2012) in order to share what I experience in nature with others. I also want to display the abundance of bird diversity in this part of the world, and have consciously chosen to maximize species diversity. This sometimes results in lower quality images, as I may not have a better capture in my files. But I will update these shots as better ones become available.
