SF, early 90s:
with a BFA in hand I embarked on a very uninspiring career as an illustrator. Bored easily, I began thinking of designing a line of childrens clothes {beautiful soft colors, very french and diminutive} that segued into textile designing. Which was sort of fun.
While textile designing, and feeling bored {again} I asked my therapist, 'when will I know what I want to be when i grow up?' She told me it was something I had always been doing and didn't even realize it.
She was right, I had been completely obsessed with creating environments since my days of playing with doll houses. And at the end of the day, this was the thing that I buried myself in, my creative sanctuary.
everyday my work allows me to submerse myself in :
textiles, shapes, fabrics, beautiful design, light, color, ceramic art, graphic art, fine art, photography, music and fashion.
fast forward~
LA, present:
2 babies and 2 cities later, I find myself living in a diminutive vintage beach bungalow in L.A. blogging away for my design blog, 'beachbungalow8', creating beautiful spaces for fabulous clients, illustrating on occasion {just enough so I don't get too bored} and dreaming up my next venture.
thank you to all who have favorited my photos and who have
unknowingly contributed to BB8. I hope you'll come by and say 'hello'
