I’m Matt and I live on the North Shore in Auckland, NZ.

I believe an artist’s work is enriched through pain and deprivation, and that’s why I still keep my day-job in IT.

People think I’m pretty quiet, but I’m really saving my real voice for when I’m doing my stuff creatively. I would say I let my art speak for me, but it’s not very well behaved and it can’t keep its voice down.

Sometimes it gets really carried away, jumps up on a soapbox and shouts itself hoarse – it’s embarrassing. The only times my art is quiet is when it’s up to no good.

Living in the New Zealand, there are so many mesmerising scenes of light and water every day.

They build up into an irresistable force that drags your finger onto the shutter. I couldn’t stop them if I tried.

And when I'm not taking pictures - I'd rather be cycling.
