My name is Panagiotis Siafakas and I am a photographer in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan area. I have been photographing since 1986 and since then have always had a passion to photograph. It is my goal to continue to provide the highest quality of photographic work and to perform to the best of my ability.

 

First off, I would like to thank you for visiting my gallery. I truly hope that the time you have spent viewing my images has been a pleasure. Creating an image for me is a truly wonderful thing. Not only is it a record of any given moment in time which it was created, but over time, creating a gallery of images really brings out so much of myself, and sharing that with you is letting you into a piece of my world.

 

After uploading the images and browsing through them, I have come to the realization that every single one of the images in this gallery have a story, and more importantly, bring me back to the exact moment that it was made. This is what I get from the images, however, the beauty of photography is that everybody can gather something different from each image. what moves me, may or may not move you. What interests you, may not be what interests any number of others. In the end, I hope that there is something somewhere in these images that you find moving, interesting, unique, or exciting. This is the prospect that drives me to continue shooting, and ultimately, to continue expanding my gallery.

 

Since this is a Gallery based Portfolio of images, I will keep it what it is. We have all heard the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. It is my hope then that the pictures in these pages speak volumes to you, and in the end, that is really all that matters.

SOFTWARE:

 

I Shoot mostly in RAW, and I use Apple's Aperture to do my RAW image processing. This processing is done on a 24" iMac, and for more intense editing or image manipulation, I use Adobe Photoshop CS. My workflow is relatively consistent, and I can achieve the results I am looking for utilizing this setup.
