Flickr is excellent!

After spending a lot of time looking at other people's photos, I've decided to upload some of my own. Enough with being a passive observer.

I recently got back from a trip to California visiting colleges. The weather was great, I took tours at Caltech and Stanford, and I got some great photographs. That's what gave me the opportunity to start this profile.

Also, in case anyone cares, I use GIMP for image editing. It's open-source, and has worked very well for me - as far as I can tell, it's at least as powerful as Photoshop, and about $300 less expensive!
