I'm a Greek/Belgian who came to the United States at age 12, in 1967 and became an American in 1975. That makes about 62 years old. I got my first camera in 1974, an antique Nikon rangefinder, and have been photographing my home (New York City) and the World ever since. Most of my work is on film, and I have been slowly scanning it as time permits, on a very high-end drum scanner. I'm still feeling my way around in terms of what looks good on a computer screen and the Web. I try to keep as much of the original image as possible, not cropping or deleting things, and tend to avoid artificially enhancing colors and sharpness too much. I'm going for a natural photographic look, with an eye towards what looks nice on the Web...

I'm also interested in vintage bicycles.
