Guys!!! Tell your wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins, friends and enemies that the WORST enemy is Breast Cancer. Well, one of the worst, so stop playing pocket billiards and get your own bits checked as well.

Right, first things second, as it were.

I was born in one of the South Wales Valleys on 22/08/1947 which really makes me pretty ancient, but I feel like a new-born babe:-

no hair, no teeth, can’t walk and I think I’ve just wet my pants !

Retired now, I live in Turkey most of the time, but “hiraeth”, that indefinable longing for the homeland, together with a devotion to both Cricket and Rugby, neither of which is played here, result in periodic returns to Wales.

It was often said of a favourite aunt of mine that “Mae hi wedi bob amser yn cael ffag ar ei wefus” or “She’s always got a fag on her lip.” True, there it was, a permanent facial adornment, the source of my personal fascination and the inspiration for my first account.

Sadly, she’s no longer with us, and my wife doesn’t smoke so the majority of the pictures in this photo stream were gleaned from various internet sources over a long period and only rarely have I copied pictures direct from the photo stream of another Flickr member. I have given credit where the provenance is known but many remain unattributed. If you own the copyright to any of the photos and would like to have accreditation added or amended please let me know. Further, upon request, I will oblige any rightful owner by deleting their photos without hesitation.

So, this account deals with girls, women and ladies smoking, but with a twist catering for the diverse matters that occupy my waking hours. They probably brighten your days as well and if they don’t, you are looking at the wrong photo stream.

I was on the second account before Flickr’s munificence meant that there was no real need for a further account as either of the two could be extended, but I buy my ciggies in cartons of 200 so I’ll continue to apportion the photos in the same way, hence the further photo streams on the subject of ladies and their smoking habits.
