I believe that photography is a portal between the world and the soul. A great shot should please us on many levels. It should be sensuous; we should be able to 'taste', 'touch', 'smell'....and totally experience what is in the frame. It should tell a story; there is something going on here that we might not be able to 'see'. It should be subtle: the most powerful messages are spoken 'softly' and maybe require a second reading or viewing.

As you can see from my photostream, I'm intrigued with the candid shot..capturing the unscripted, unposed emotion of the moment. It is at this moment, the eyes, the smile, the expression tell the truest story.
