Dennis has been a great shooting buddy & an inspiration to me with this new hobby. I came across Dennis' photos when I first joined Flickr in '09. When we discovered we live within an hour of each we began meeting up to shoot nature photos. It's been great being able get out on the trails with someone who loves nature as much as I do, is in tune with what's around us when we're out there, and to discuss how we can best capture a shot... whether it's what settings may work better for a shot or how close we can get to the 'gators :) ... and it helps that we can put up with each others sometimes warped senses of humor and crazy antics. We've been able to view and in most cases get some good shots of the wildlife in our area ( 'gators feeding, endangered Snail Kites, hawks devouring their prey, bobcat, Florida Panther)... but our search is still ongoing for the elusive Skunkape and Chupacabra! Dennis is great! If you want someone who's light-hearted and loves the animals he shoots, this is your guy. He is very diverse...able to shoot a wide range of subjects, and do it well. Not an easy thing! I always thought of him as a 'gator guy', which he is...but more recently he's shown us that his ability to capture the perfect snail kite photo is second to none. Dennis is also very personable, willing to help advance other's abilities and give advice when needed. I truly admire him and would sit down and have a beer avec Dennis any day of the week.
