Thinking about how it all started I have to go back to 1984 when my father gave me a Konica pocket-cam he brought back from a trip to Kuwait. Since that day I have been taking pictures mainly just as documents of my life…parties, journeys, demonstrations etc.. Most of the pictures I took in that time have already lost their colours and the camera was stolen on a trip to Prague in 1989.

In 1994 I bought my first “real” camera, a NIKON 601 when I visited a good friend who studied at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. A three months trip across the USA followed with breathtaking landscapes, fascinating animals, interesting people and almost 2000 slides. I still think that slides are the perfect medium to work with especially when showing them to friends. During my studies travelling the world became a passion. More boxes full of slides followed and a NIKON F90x “joined our team”.

It took almost ten years before digital photography woke my attention. Once again on a journey visiting a friend in Ottawa I decided to buy a NIKON D70 and have been working with it until today. Honestly I have to say that I have a lot of fun working with digital photos, “developing” and working on them on my new Mac :-).

I discovered "flickr" in March 2007. Amazing what you people "see" and upload here. being a hobby "snapshotter" you give me inspiration and energy to get better every day. right now I am going through all that boxes full of travel-slides, scan them and try to get them back to life. what you see here is just a small collection of photos I came across and found interesting enough to share with you. Hope you'll have fun watching them the way I love watching yours!
