I became interested in photography a few years ago following a holiday my wife & I took to Cornwall. Aswe are members of the National Trust we visited Lanhydrock House near Liskeard. At the rime of our visit I didn't have a camera but I did have a smartphone Apple iHone X coupled with a recently purchased a Moments case with an 18mm wide angle lens. Keen to try this combination out I took over 200 photo's that day! We later viewed them on my iPad & was pleasantly surprised by the results. This inspired me sufficiently to venture out to buy my 1st Canon EOS 200D which I still use. The 18 - 55mm kit lens that came with the camera takes great photo's, however, I also love my 50mm f1.8 which my wife gave me as a present & I recently purchased a Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro lens which I love.
Moving forward a number of years & I have recently purchased a Canon EOS R7 since retiring. I now have to time to indulge my passion for photography. I'm learning every time I put my hands on the camera & encouragement that I receive from friends, family & the good folk on Flickr. There is so much inspiring work on this site & so many fantastic photographs to enjoy.
Please continue to enjoy my pictures & offer critique if it will help me to improve my technique.
