Michael (Mike) Molenda is an artist with a broad array of interests. Favoring detailed pen and ink illustration, his style has been characterized by its signature comic expression. His influences include Basil Wolverton, Robert Crumb, Ed Roth, Antonio Prohías, Quentin Blake, John Severin, Shel Silverstein, Edward Gorey, and many others. He also sculpts using a variety of mediums, including clays, metals, scrap, fruit, ice and woods. His photography is an extension of his visual interests, and he likes to hang out to photo-shoot with other photography-enthusiast friends.
When he is without his pen and ink, Mike has a great deal of other interests including racing, competitive pistol, shotgun sports, fly fishing, kayaking, off-roading, camping,hiking, bodybuilding, boxing/fighting, guitar, film and music. He lives in Chicago with offices in the Chicago Loop and Manhattan.
