I am a Head of Physics in a large inner London Comprehensive School. I am passionate about all things Physics. Really interested in photography and astronomy.

My wife recently bought be a DSLR for my birthday. I was amazed to see the difference in quality of photos you can achieve from a normal digital camera. Having two kids provides perfect models to practice (although not always willing). It is however once they go to bed that I really have time to mess around. This is why I have recently discovered (and become obsessed with) Light Painting and Night time Photography.

On to Astronomy. I realised in Nov 2011 that despite being a Physics teacher and visiting numerous Observatories I had NEVER looked through a Telescope! I promptly put a pair of Binoculars on my Christmas wish list. Looking at the moon I was hooked. I wanted to buy telescope straight away. But it wasn't till I finally bought my telescope (then waited for a Month for clear skies) and pointed it at Saturn that I had my first real WOW moment. It was amazing. No words could ever do that moment justice. Ever since I have been hooked. Still very much a novice and trying to get my head around astro-photography.
