I was asked to design a window display for a vacant downtown storefront by Allegrone Companies and Berkshire Theatre Group. The window brings life and attention to the previously empty store front.

The curtains, gold, ornate furniture and frame reflect the theatrical drama of the theatre. The main focus of the window is a framed flat screen tv in the center of the display. A camera is mounted in the window and captures an image every 15 seconds, 24 hours a day for the entire month of December. That’s 5,500 photographs a day. The display shows a live video feed for people to pose for photos and also displays the most recent photo taken. The best photos are taken and placed online for people to view and are encouraged to pose and have fun with the camera. The photographs are also used to create a time lapse video of the view from the window. At the end of the month all the photographs will be compiled into a video capturing 30 days of the holidays in downtown Pittsfield.
