What exactly is International Development?

International Development is a complex and broad term that in the simplest sense aims at improving the quality of lives of humans. The development of the human race is no easy task and requires effort from all parts of the world. Supporters of international development are working towards finding solutions to problems such as digital divide, economic recessions, human right inequalities, and environment conservation. Many different groups have started international development initiatives but the majority of the worlds citizens do not understand the scope of international development and the relevance and need for governments, corporations, and universities to come together and increase the pace of international development work.

If you are passionate and interested in working on improving developing regions please take the time to explore this site and contact DSO with any questions.
