I am Erin Melissa Halvorson. My daughter is Ella Grace Halvorson. Seeing the business name origin yet?

I aim to bring my own unique perspectives and approaches to photography and capturing emotions.

What drove me to choose photography? It started out as a hobby, but I saw the love for my work through others. My hobby expanded into a business in 2005. I believe my passion brings forth a true emotion that is brought out in your images and adds more depth to the final product. I want you to love your images as much as I do.

Where am I? I reside in Madison, Wisconsin. I grew up in Baraboo and after attending to college in Eau Claire Wisconsin, I lived in Madison until 2002. Then a career choice moved my husband and I to Northwest Arkansas. I decided to take the leap of faith and start my “nature” photography business in 2005. The nature photography did not exactly catch on but that was OK. I painted and dabbled in digital photography. The in 2007 my daughter Ella Grace was born. started our family in 2007. My dream of family photography was fully realized. As a new mom I knew what my talent was meant for. I so wanted to move back to Madison for its known artistic potential. So now in 2010 here we are back with my family in my home honored to live in Wisconsin.

What’s so special about me? Well, I love to get to know you first in a relaxed and playful photo session. My goal is to capture real memories and show real stories through my images. The images should remind you of how you felt, laughed, loved at that singular moment frozen in time. So have fun during your session and enjoy yourself, if you aren’t having fun it will show.
