Dale Rice is a woman full of surprises. And pleasant surprises at that. Six months ago, she was your typical point and shoot snap shot taker. The usual family/pet/vacation shots kind of thing. Then, one day in late November of 2011, she wanted to join me on a drive down old US-12 looking for sights to capture. We spotted a lone tree out in the middle of a field. A scene much like the kind of photos and posters she likes. She took a couple shots of it and I remember her excitement at how good it looked even on just the small screen of her Coolpix. I believe from that moment on, she was hooked :) Later she took some shots of old houses and barns. And when she learned what you could do while editing… Well, the die was cast, lol. Or as she likes to say, I have created a monster, lol. Dale has been taking photos on a non-stop basis ever since. She took to editing like a duck to water and has really come up with some extremely interesting edits. And as you can see by viewing her photostream from the beginning through her current photos, she has come a long long way in a very short time. But that’s the way she is :) Dale continues to grow in her camera skills and her editing technique to the point where I have jokingly told her on several occasions I was going to take her camera and hide it, lol. But I wouldn’t. I am enjoying watching her learn and experiment. As it happens, there are times we go out and are shooting the same area/object/scene and she comes up with a refreshing and totally different perspective of what we are working with than I. It is so very clear to me that she has found a great interest in photography and is well on her way to excelling in it. She has her Coolpix with her all the time and uses her Canon XSi every chance she gets. She loves taking pictures. Its my turn to be the one saying “Can we go now?”, lol. I greatly look forward to the many great photos I know are going to come from this wonderful and talented woman. What a pleasant surprise she has become ♥ Brad Worrell
