Photography has been an interest since chilhood. My first camera was a Kodak 110 film. Lol. Drove my parents nuts. Had a few Polaroids, then a Canon film point and shoot. My first SLR was a black Canon AE-1 Program. Lots of rolls of film.
Always loved art, but didn't think I could make a living off of it.
I put photography on hold for the pursuit of a career, gave my gear to my sister.
I missed photography though, bought a few point and shoots, then moved up to digital. First digital, a hand me down Canon G5, it died quickly.
What really blows, I lost all my old photos, along with 90% of my stuff in a fire. And no insurance. **facepalm**
Then I got the Fuji. Tried a Nikon P&S, what a POS. Stuck with the Fuji for a while. (There are thousands more Fuji photos that I may or may not post sometime.)
Finally, I bought a DSLR. A Canon 60D, and I love it. I never realized how much I missed it until then.
I have secretly dreamed of making a living with photography. I have sold a few prints. Maybe some day I will be able to make more with it. But I have no delusions, so I have fun with it when away from my "day" job.
It is my therapy. Lol.
I plan to get more lenses and gear, it is an addiction, my "midlife crisis". Still cheaper than a Corvette. Lol.
