Jin Ngee is the Regional Application Specialist at Integrated DNA Technologies Pte Ltd. Special emphasis in this role is to communicate IDT’s advances in nucleic acid technology and expertise to users. Previously he served as Application Support Specialist answering to many queries as well as distressed calls from researchers regarding oligonucleotides. His experience in oligonucleotides started back in the early 1990s when he was tasked to run a core DNA synthesis facility which eventually closed due to the increasing competition from the likes of ….. Integrated DNA Technologies Inc. His passion for communicating in science eventually led him to be involved the student outreach program in the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore. Here he honed his communications skills imparting his experience and knowledge to the next generation of budding researchers. Apart from living life as a caffeine-based life form, he has a strange affinity for Hong Kong and Phuket of which he has been returning once a year since 2008. From living off caffeine, he is interested in photography and attempting to document places he has been.
