I don't claim to have the best photostream on Flickr, but I will claim to have one of the greenest. Until 2016, none of the pictures displayed involved using motor transport specifically to go and take them. Nearly all of them were taken while out on foot or bicycle, or by using public transport. I now have a scooter, but have not yet used more than a gallon of fuel to go and take any of my pictures.
I use M43 cameras in order to be able to move around easily, and find them adequate for most situations although I would like to try out a full-frame camera for landscape and woodland photography.
I am happy taking pictures almost anywhere, but it's a bonus being in a natural environment. As somebody else put it so well:
What appeals to us in being near to nature is nature's music, and nature's music is more perfect than that of art. It gives us a sense of exaltation to be moving about in the woods, and to be looking at the green; to be standing near the running water, which has its rhythm, its tone and its harmony. The swinging of the branches in the forest, the rising and falling of the waves, all has its music. And once we contemplate and become one with nature our hearts open to its music.
