Long term supporter of Gwent Wildlife Trust (20+ years), and more recently of the Woodland Trust, for whom I am the voluntary warden of Cefn Ila nature reserve, near Llanbadoc, Usk.

My photostream was set up initially to provide a site for my photo records of the Cefn Ila site, but is now also a record of what I find as I travel within Gwent and further afield.

I'm an expert on UK spiders, and generally knowledgeable on the flora and fauna of the old county of Gwent. I enjoy identifying things, and am never happier than when learning a new species.

I enjoy camping and outdoor activities in general.

These days my camera is a Canon EOS 1100D (or Rebel T3), usually with a Sigma 105mm macro lens on the front.
