I have been a LEGO fan since as far back as I can remember. When I heard about LEGO Universe when it was just an idea I thought, oh I totally have to play that! I contributed a little bit to it by posting in its forum on the LEGO.com message boards of which I was already familiar with. I forgot about it for a while, then was researching it shortly after its launch. I knew I had to get it so I bought it on sale Brick Friday. I quickly loved the game, it's not what I wanted nor expected, but I enjoyed it none the less. Within my first month I met up with my two closest friends in game, Quetz and SirRascus. Not widely known, but incredible people and players.
Quetz got me started on battle through the Avant Gardens Survival mini game. He taught me a few tricks and got me on my way. Soon I was making connections with top battlers in game, such as KingofBuilders and Onebigdragonslayer. I just kept learning how to improve and get better at battle in the game. I made top ten in survival and was fairly able in Battle of Nimbus Station.
Finally the moment to prove myself came, the Nexus Force Championships. I was determined to prove that I was one of the best. Pairing up with my now regular team of Quetz, SullytheUnusual, and SirRascus I hit the contests full steam ahead. Survival was hard, but SirRascus and I got second, were the only ones I know of who did a duo approach (long story, we tried as a team, but are score got beat), and for a long time had the best time point combo out there (Almost five hours, almost a million points combined). As a side note the last day of the game, using Mythran sent out items of a jetpack and the uber hammer I scored over one million points in survival. Mainly to say I had the best point score ever.
Next my team tackled BoNS, I had tried taking some how to get top ten in BoNS crash courses from friends who were that good, but the best my team could get was a 11:20 time. Not bad, but not up to par with the best in BoNS. I gave a shot at the building competition and Cannon Cove shooting gallery. Somehow I managed to get in the 2nd place overall bracket. No doubt thanks to my friends who helped me along the way, but I am a Nexus Force Champion.
Other that in the LEGO realm my fame to glory is a long history of posting on the LEGO.com Message Boards and also now posting at a site called Brick Universe. LEGO Universe taught me I wasn't as good at building as I thought I was, but I still might share some of my creations.
