Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, I currently live with my husband in the house we built in Waukesha, WI. We have been married over 40 years. We have two grown sons. Scott is a chemist and Matt is a telecommunications manager. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and worked as an RN at a Veteran’s hospital in Milwaukee for 25 years. Due to an unusual bone disorder, I retired on disability in 2001. I now custom decorate walking canes for people who, like me, don’t particularly like the aluminum canes found in drug stores.
