Hi everyone, I am a photographer based in Somerset, specialising in Wildlife, Outdoor Activities and the Countryside.

Before the digital age, I had a Pentax Super A, along with a host of Sigma lenses. It was always a worrying time waiting for the films, prints or slides to be returned from the developer.

My camera is now digital, so the results are available instantly and there is a printer at home if required. I purchased a Canon 7D back in 2011, and it is proving to be a complex piece of kit, but it is capable of taking superb photos. I now feel more at home with it and wouldn't be without for anything although the autofocus system still has a tendency to fail and with wildlife photography there is no second chance.

This Flickr account provides a summary view of my work. Most of my wildlife photographs are taken out in the countryside. I never bait or feed the birds or animals or create feeding stations as I enjoy the challenge of taking photographs in a true wild location. I have made use of hides on the various local wildlife reserves in order to improve my photography skills and provide additional examples of my work. For me, the wildlife will also come first. I will never risk disturbing any wildlife for that one picture. It something happens in front of me then I will record it, but I will always back off to protect the wildlife and more than likely miss "that photograph"
