otherwise known as bucky

 

i was born in 68 - the year MLK was killed after the garbage strike here in memphis. a tumultuous year and it still lingers in the air seeing how this town is just now getting to a good spot accepting diversity and putting to rest its racial tensions. here we suffer from the attrition of economic downturns much like that of secondary cities in the world. very little affluence coupled with a wide disparity in the "haves and have-nots" gives this environment its fair share of urban decay and rural flavor. this to me makes for an ideal environment to capture culture with all of its various flavors and textures.

 

i shoot with whatever i have handy (LG camera phone, Nikon 4mp CoolPix, Lumix FZ28, .32 snubnose, bow and arrow) and generally don't care much what i can hit. i take in what is around me and since i don't get out much, it may consist alot of a cat, daughter and a special person or two. if you enjoy it, all the better - if not, i apologise in advance - but i make no apology for who i am and what i do.

 

if you see something that makes you jump, by all means say something but no need to get all uppity and call folks out or be a juvenile peon at the bachelor party who has never touched a nipple before. real life = real photos. somethings are just natural.

 

i am not much of a photographer type so i don't expect this to be any issue, but please be a gem and look but don't use without getting my permission. i am a professional designer who knows better and has had my share of legal relationships. i am not hard to flatter so maybe a kind question is all it will take - but i do insist that you take that step.

if for some reason i missed your note in your profile about adding you or i didn't give you a dissertation on how great your photo is, get over yourself and don't be offended. i am a good guy who appreciates great work. i don't drool over photos unless they are of food and i have a happy life at home so i don't get a thrill over your other photos - unless it is a remarkably well take one. nuff said.

 

also i have recently uploaded some personal shots that some might find offensive or explicit. if so - just dont look at the stuff and click the next page. i do not mean to offend but i am not going to apologise for who or what i am or what i wish to communicate.

(note: of late i have had the hankering to do more film since the only real camera i have used for any length of time was an old olympus OM-PC. i still have it but unfortunately it is sadly gone by the wayside since it had repetitive shutter cord issues. i have been wishing for a few things to play with and should the finances come i will hopefully attain them. if you have any thoughts or suggestions feel free to message me.)
