I've enjoyed dabbling with photography since being given a 110 cartridge camera as a kid in the 80s. Now with a DSLR, I enjoy wildlife and landscape photography as a welcome contrast from the day job, whether it's wildlife in the garden, on holiday or while spending spare time at some of the UK's fantastic nature reserves.

In 2012 I bought a macro lens which opened up a completely new area of photography to me; I love macro photography and find the detail it reveals, especially of insects, truly fascinating.
