I'm retired and struggling to find enough time to do all the things I've always wanted to do. My main interests range from orchid breeding (Coelogynes) to bird watching, bee keeping, 4WD travelling within Australia, fishing, cooking, wine and whiskey, photography, gardening, family, my dog Jimmy, etc. etc. I started my careers in the wool industry, shearing sheds, wool classing, etc to lecturer in wool technology, teaching, then through Graduate Diploma into information technology, and finally into the diplomatic service. I have lived in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, travelled Asian countries including China and been as far west as the UK .
