Children First is a private, charitable, non-profit organization that serves over 600 of Sarasota County's most vulnerable children. We provide Head Start and Early Head Start services to low-income families, most of which live below the poverty line. We give these children who have higher risk for failure in Kindergarten a Head Start, ensuring they are ready for school through a comprehensive approach to early education. We also provide family services that includes classes, training, and career preparation. Our mission at Children First is "strengthening children and families by improving the quality of their lives through a comprehensive approach to development, education, health and well-being."
